I have been searching for this everywhere and haven't been able to find it. If it can then that is a big plus imo. I am still debating on whether upgrading my 3G to the 3G S and just need that little extra push:p.

Interesting question but I don't think anyone will know the answer until they get in people's hands. I would think that there would need to be a home button shortcut for this when the iPhone is locked, like there is for the iPod controls. I'm going to guess that there won't be but for your sake I hope I'm wrong. :)

Hmm, weird that Apple hasn't mentioned it. I mean if it doesn't work on the lock screen it is crippled. What would be the point of having voice dialing if you still have to unlock the iPhone and what not.

What would the point of having a passcode if you could bypass it with voice dialing. Throwing security out the window just so you could have voice dialing on a locked phone is crippled.

its not really a security breach you can do certain things but not much more then you can with the old ones.

Didn't they say you could hold down the mic button on the headphones to trigger the voice control? I would assume that means you could control it on the lock screen.

Maybe you can only control the iPod on the lock screen?

Ooh off topic real quick - how do you like your Speck Cranberry iPhone case? I was looking at that online the other night... it looks pretty cool... :)

Hehe, not a problem. It's awesome! The only cons about it is that it adds more alot thickness in comparison with the Incase Slider (Which I loved but stopped using it because of the scratches it caused) and how the bottom rubber part is starting to break (I guess because I take it in and out of the case so much).
