Can we make it Double Tap = Home / Single Tap = Switch apps?

Is there a setting we can change to set the double tap button to take me home instead of double tap = switch between apps currently?

The reason I'm asking this is because my double tap doesn't respond to well to switch between apps, I'm afraid it's not working well
