Can we really expect to wait 3-4 weeks?

I ordered a Retina MacBook Pro today with lead times of 3-4 weeks, I was wondering wether or not this is a reliable estimate.

Has anyone here waited 3-4 weeks on a machine build before?
Have apple in the past exceeded expectations with delivery estimates?

I hope someone can shed some light on this.

Doubt that it will be 4 weeks. Apple usually under promise and deliver early.

However, you can expect 2-3 weeks wait.


My advice is to keep the order and keep calling your local apple stores.

Unless you are buying BTO options... then can't help you.

I'm buying bto so it has to be online.

So you think it's realistic to expect it in two weeks?

I would say 2-3. The estimate was pretty accurate for my MBP in 2007.
