can you activate a verizon ipad on an existing line?

I didn't think iPads had "lines" just data feeds. You can't call an iPad can you? I didn't think it was a telephone.

Not on an existing line AFAIK, but on your account and yes they'll be charging you the 35 dollars activation fee.
