Can you add lines through your carrier without a phone?

Since the shipping times are down to less than a week for all models now i was thinking of getting the wife and kids the iphone 6's as well. The problem is i have AT&T and I am the only line on my account right now. I wonder if i can call and just have them add a couple accounts to my account and then i can upgrade with apple?

you can order online at apple.com and add 2 lines to your existing account.

you can order online at apple.com and add 2 lines to your existing account.

You cannot add lines with the next plan at the Apple Store or online, only upgrade existing lines

You can't add a line without a phone.

Further, if you do add a line it is I eligible for Next for six months (unless you get a customer service to junk through way too many hoops for you).

In short, not worth it.
