Can you Air Drop to Apple Store Display Units?

I am going to an Apple Store later this week and I want to see if the iPad mini is too small for my personal use. I read a lot of custom made (non sensitive) PDFs.

I want to test one on a display unit, but I don't want to sign into Dropbox on a public system. Can I Air Drop from my iPhone 6 to an iPad mini display unit?

Last summer I visited an Apple Store and put an iOS 8 screenshot on one of the demo units, just having a little fun

It's also fun being able to airplay to apple tvs in stores. I know I have pranked a few people this way by mirroring my iPad to the TV screen while people were watching youtube playing, then opening a whiteboard app and writing random stuff. #

But I know I have helped sell at least one Apple TV this way.
