I looked this up on Google but didn't find much so I thought I would ask on here:

1. I want to know if the magnets on the smart connectors of the iPad Pro (more interested in the 9.7 inch) is able to strongly hold the Apple Pencil to it?

2. Is there enough room for the Apple Pencil to stay on the smart connectors even if the iPad Pro (9.7 inch) has just a silicone casing (like the kind Apple sells which have the cases designed to expose the smart-connector side of the device)?

Would appreciate it somebody could please confirm this Thank you very much!

Nope. The Pencil does not attach in any way to a naked iPad.

It can kind of stick to the Smart Cover.

Apple really dropped the ball on that front.
