I searched and could not find any answers.

My friend recently emailed me with the question:

"Is it possible to download (from iTunes) a film and then burn it to a DVD? Will iDVD (the program that comes with my MacBook Pro) do that? There are some short films I'd like to have..."

This is what he wants to know. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Thank you.

No, you cannot burn them to a DVD but you can watch them on 5 computers and 10 iPods and you can also stream them to your tv with the Apple TV.

You can burn them as data to a DVD and playback within iTunes. Not for playback on a standalone DVD player.

I do this all the time for taking some of the kids' programming along on trips while not taking up space on the iBook's HDD.

That really sucks... I understand what Apple is doing and I get it, just sucks too at the same time. Thanks guys for the responses.
