Not contrary to the "Remote Disc" feature, since i know that's not supported for burning, but is it possible to share PC drive via standard File & Printer sharing in order to burn with say Toast on your Mac, or other burning software/windows software ?

If not, why not ?

I could probably imagine its a latency issue, but it's no different than streaming over wi-fi, or anything, yet its always there as a possible option..

I could get Apple's Super drive, but reckon it would be a waste of money for the times i would need to burn discs.... only once in a blue moon

There are third party drives available for about $35 for a decent one. It is possible to create an image of whatever you need to burn then copy it to the PC and burn it that way. You would need to ensure that you are using an appropriate format for a PC like .iso and not a Mac format like .dmg.
