So I'm assuming that if I only have one phone line, I can not purchase two phones through Apple because you can not purchase a phone outright is that correct? You have to have it associated with a number? Is there a way around this?
Do you know how? What is that process? If I go through the checkout on say an iPhone, it defaults to replacing the line I have rather than buying outright.you can...im buying 2 phones. My line is within its window, however my wife is not.
if you go through APL, you will have to put in a second number. It will give you the option to pay full retail.Do you know how? What is that process? If I go through the checkout on say an iPhone, it defaults to replacing the line I have rather than buying outright.
what do you mean by a second number? cellphone number? or any number?if you go through APL, you will have to put in a second number. It will give you the option to pay full retail.
A second cell number. I believe you need to give a mobile number when purchasing a iPhone. I would go into a Apple store before 10/27 to confirm.
I may hve missed that part. I know part of the reason they ask, because they need to know whether to sell you a GSM or CDMA IphoneRight so that goes back to my original point, unless you have a second line, you can't get a second phone?
I'd like to order a second iPhone for a new line but don't see a way to do that on the Apple Store app. Unless I'm missing something, you have to put in your existing phone number which is then validated by the carrier.
Unless there's a way to do it all via Apple, I may just order one on the Apple Store app for an existing line and one via the Verizon app or Verizon website adding a new line.
For us prepaid people, our only option is to purchase the T-Mobile iPhone X. It’s the only one that doesn’t ask for carrier information. I tried it on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.My understanding, unless someone knows otherwise, is that you have to either already have an existing second number. Or it will default to prompting you to open a new line.
I'm certain they will not have sim free phones at launch.
Back in the day, you could just buy a carrier phone outright, even if you didn't have a plan with that carrier. I don't think that is true anymore.

I'm referring to the iPhone Xwhy are you even bothering with giving them a number. just tell them you want the sim free version. i think iphone x is the only one that you cant get sim free since its in preorder.
I'm referring to the iPhone X
Why only 5, not a dozen. Try not to limit yourselfYou can walk into the local Apple Store and buy 5 iPhone X that are SIM free and no number is involved.
