I already used my upgrade to get a 64gb 6+ on launch day so that line wasn't eligible for upgrade.

I just now opened a new line on VZW so I could reserve a 128GB version. When I get to the store, can I just cancel the new line, have them return my 64gb and swap it out for the 128gb as my upgrade?

Seemed possible on launch day, anyone successfully done something similar?

I will answer my own question here, the answer is YES. I picked up my 128gb 6+ today, had them cancel the new line I created, returned my 64GB model and they were able to exchange instantly.

So, just to clarify: You ordered a new VZW line with in-store pickup. Then, when picking it up, you cancelled the line with no issues and they "resold" it to you? This is what I'm looking to do, except instead of apply as an existing upgrade, just pay full price and have the phone as an unlocked version.
