Can you clean with a cloth with tap water?

My macbook has a very clean screen. I use a cleaning cloth and occasionally I put some hot tap water on the cloth and lightly clean the screen. Is this okay? I read once tap water is bad, even if you only put a little on the cloth. But what else would you use?

Don't worry about it.
There's water in the air, and probably worse things if you ever sneezed on it.

As long as you don't spill water INTO the computer, then don't worry about it.

Same here, although it's called Glassex here, lot cheaper than special purpose cleaner and NEVER had problems with it.
