Hello.

1) I need to know if you can connect a Magic Mouse 2 or another Bluetooth mouse to an iPhone 14 and use the same pointer that you see on iPadOS. I remember this es posible on iOS 13 but I have no idea if there’s a way on iOS 16.

2) Also, while I’m here, I’d like to ask you if, when screen recording (with microphone enabled) on your iPhone 14, if you receive a phone call, does the screen recording get interrupted or not?

Thank you.

Only to iPads
Okay, then why iOS (on the iPhone) has a dedicated section for a cursor/pointer to choose the shape, color and size? As well as the speed of the pointer.

Also, if you go to Accessibility and activate AssistiveTouch, there’s a submenu for “pointing devices”, such as a mouse, and you can actually try to pair a Bluetooth mouse there.

There are YouTubers that have managed to pair a third party Bluetooth mouse, but apparently the Magic Mouse cannot be paired.

You’re correct, I use a mouse with my iPhone almost daily. I have a 3 button press on the power button to endeavor AssistiveTouch to enable the cursor support. It’s not as fully featured as the iPad version (it won’t change its shape around buttons for example), but it works.

So, the only prerequisite is to have a third party mouse? Any Bluetooth mouse except… the Magic Mouse. Makes (absolutely no) sense.

By the way, the cat on your profile picture is very cute!

I haven’t personally tried the Magic Mouse, I don’t own one anymore. But I’ve used both the MX Master 2S and Microsoft Modern Mobile mouse with it.

Oh, wow, you even recorded a video for me. Thank you.

I will get a cheap Bluetooth mouse and try with it. It is extremely strange that it doesn’t work with Apple’s own mouse and it does on other third party Bluetooth mice.

Again, thank you. I’ll keep You updated if I make it work!

An Apple Store specialist assured me that this is just impossible on an iPhone. Maybe he meant "This can't be done without a third party mouse"!
