If not it would be great if they would add it at some point.

Can you delete JUST the pictures out of a thread? (aside from manually deleting them using the check mark/load previous time consuming way)

I want to keep my conversation history with someone but they send a lot of pics and would like to free up some of my messages space.

Can you do this in messages?

Yes you can. Hold down on the pic. Press more. Select the pic. Delete bottom right.

Edits: oops I did not read the OP correctly. My fault

Yeah and if I do that (delete one pic at a time) and scroll up, it auto selects random messages. I"m not sure if it is a bug, but it is very annoying!

Just delete the whole thing. I do this every day and then I dont have huge amounts of messages. My mom on the other hand keeps EVERY message. So my question always it "Why?". Why does anyone want/need to have an old conversation? Would you really go back and read that? I just dont get it.

He specifically said he doesn't want to delete the conversation

That's not really an explanation, that's just you asking him why he wants to keep a conversation... Which isn't really any of your business

Good enough of an explanation it gets the message across. And they got the answer so there you go.

No you have to delete each one individually or the entire thread.
