Can you get Apple's iPhones weather app for the iPad. I just want a simple weather app and not one of the overly complicated apps. Hunted around the app store but cant find it.

Nope, sadly. However, Weather HD is a nice alternative.

Weather HD is pretty for sure, and it provides about as much information as the iPhone weather application does - not much. If you need more information where you live, you might also look at Weather Channel Max, WeatherBug, and/or AccuWeather. I need access to storm information where I live, but there are places where that is probably overkill.

I have never been a WeatherBug fan in the past but I have to admit the new WeatherBug app for the iPad is the best I have seen.

The Weather Channel app was great for the first few weeks and has become an ad-infested crashcart. Utterly craptastic.

I like WeatherBug a lot ... Ive tried accuweather but like WeatherBug better.

On the iPhone I hated weatherBug but as you said, I think it's the best weather app for the iPad hands down.
Accuweather and Weather Channel are a joke.
On the iPhone I do like Accuweather tho..

Try Pocket Weather World HD, gorgeous UI. If you want accurate weather forecasts you need to know where the app is getting their weather data from. I prefer weather apps that are country specific.

And what is with the animation legend taking up so much room at the bottom of the screen? It blocks to much of the map!

I realize it is much more than the OP asked for, but I really like Weather Underground for iPad. I hardly use the Weather Channel any more since downloading Weather Underground.

+1
not to mention the ultra long start up time. The app hangs on the opening screen for a good 30 to 45 seconds before it starts to show any weather info.

The pop ads is kinda lame too. Def need to rethink how that app loads.

I use intellicast hd. Had weather bug up until last week. Nothing at all wrong with weather bug but intellicast just makes me feel better

Firstly I dont understand why people pay for weather apps when there are free apps that do exactly the same thing.

Also, I've been using Accuweather since day 1 and really like it.

My mistake the app is made by Weather Underground, but in the App Store it is called "WunderMap".
Just got this app, it's great and best of all it's free. Thanks for telling me about it!

One question, where do they get the webcam data from? Is there a way I can provide the app with webcam data?

+1 for Intellicast HD.

The Forecast page has everything the Apple Weather app has and more but laid out nicely without things seeming complicated. Then if I want to look at the live Radar etc. I can just switch to the Maps page which has a MUCH MUCH better live map based radar display than The Weather Channel. Raster layers STAY on top when I pan/zoom ( vs disappearing on TWC ), and the radar is higher resolution as well.

Top Notch ! (and free as well)

Thanks for this thread, OP. There seem to be at least a few "favs" that people like that I can try.

I agree with the above post that the Weather Channel app is ad-infested and barely useful for the iPad. Thanks for the other suggestions though. :)
