I need to buy a second USB cable for my iPhone. So while I think the standard cable is a tad too short I was wondering if there are USB cables available that are longer than the standard? I know I can buy a regular cable and use an extension cord, but if I can just get a longer cable I might as well do that. Doesnt have to be an official Apple product as long as it gets the job done

actually I just read about that :) And it says for small devices the cable can be up to 3-5 metres, and the iphone cable is way, way shorter than that

You can daisy chain a certain number of active extenders (I think 4 tops). I am currently running two 16 footers from my server to my dock. At first it was hit or miss, it would always sync with good speed but only charge some of the time.

I resolved the problem with a powered USB hub at the end of the line. I reccomend you do the same if going longer than 16 feet.

Radtech has a ProCable that is 2 meters (6.5 feet) for $12.95. Last order I placed was on a Wednesday and I received it on Friday.
