i am thinking of getting the SGP Leather Skin Guard.

if there is no big difference i would not need to buy Oleophobic as there will be ultra clear screen protector attached with the skin guard.

any opinions?

There is a difference between the protectors, however I actually prefer the Ultra Crystal over the Oleophobic. The oleo gets really oily really fast. It's supposedly easier to clean. I found the crystal gets fewer fingerprints, feels more like the bare glass, and is easier to clean.

My 2 cents :)

i prefer the ultra crystal. Feels more like glass. Still gets messy but I find it easier to clean than the oleo

I've installed both and would have to agree.

I loved my oleophobic when first applied. 3 weeks later its a scratched and gets very messy, easy.

Crystal seems thicker than the oleophobic.

Oleophobic is easier to install (I mean you don't need much effort to get the earpiece and home button down nicely). The crystal may take a few days.

so which one do you prefer???

It does not take a few days to install lol.

I enjoyed my Ultra Crystal but it was peeling at all the edges so I replaced it with a Power Shield. I did receive a replacement but as by then as the Power Shield had already done the job perfectly, I'm keeping them for backup.

The way it is on these forums,

Oleo - Looks great, fingerprints are easy to clean off. Fast forward 3 weeks, scratches are noticed, fingerprints are difficult to clean off.

Crystal - It's crystal clear, no scratches as it is one level harder than the Oleo, fingerprints are removable just as they were on day 1.

Just read around the place, all the info and reviews have been posted.

Thanks.
just looking for a direct comparison between these two.

so you can get replacement simply because it is peeling at the edge??

i have both ( the crystal came with my rear leather shield)

i tested the crystal clear, the oleo and the naked glass

the oleo does have some anti-fingerprint coating, but its not as smooth as the crystal or the naked glass

HOWEVER

I really recommend that people use NXT 2.0 wax with the oleophobic
its the best of both worlds

when applied its 100% clear, and with the wax it is more fingerprint resilient, they wipe off easier, and its more slick than the naked glass or Crystal
