Can you have your iPhone 4/4s in your jeans' front pockets all day without causing signs of wear and tear over time? (On the phone)

I keep my iPhone in the front pocket all the time, I've not see any wear and tear from it. Cotton is pretty soft and as long as debris such as sand doesn't get into the pocket, your phone will be in good shape.
 
Depends how tight u wear ur pants, duh.

Also some jeans have those metal buttons.

I wear loose slacks and OK there, but if am going to carry boxes, put phone down or switch to back pocket.
 
I put it in front pocket. I put everything else (keys, wallet) in another just to be safe. I feel that the front is the best. If you carry a purse it could get scratched by other stuff in there or worse sat on if you put it in your back pocket.
 
Front pocket, screen facing leg, nothing else in pocket.
Pristine 4s for 2 years.
 
I keep my phone always in the front pockets, no wear & tear signs at all, just be carefull when you take it out and you are okay :D
 
I have a small messenger bag.

I keep nothing in my pockets.

My wallet not in pockets either.

i hate jingling sounds in my pants or stuff that clog up my pockets.

Oh, jeans? Yeah, wear and tear man. Better have a nice case and a protective screen. Aside from those, your phone should be fine

I have a HTC and the speaker paint fades ...
