I have a client who is elderly and, therefore, inexperienced with computers. She has a Snow Leopard Mac laptop and an old PC at home, which she uses more often. Unfortunately, she lives thousands of miles away, but she has software on her computer that lets me see her screen.

I don't know what version of iTunes she has.

Also, Safari on her iPad wouldn't let her download the file from Google Drive.

I sent her a link to a YouTube video, but seeing as I don't know what iTunes version she uses, I can't be 100% sure it will actually help.

Connect to her computer (using the "see her screen" software).
Launch iTunes.
Check the version (About iTunes).

Seems pretty obvious, or am I missing something?

If the "see her screen" software doesn't let you remotely control her computer, then you'll probably have to walk her through launching iTunes and the "About iTunes" menu item.
