Can you hook up iMac DV 400 external monitor ?

I seen someplace that you can hookup an external monitor to one but can't seem to find how to do it?
Or are they talking about the newer iMacs.

Yes you can the VGA out is on the lower back of the computer. You have to pry off a small plate to get to it. It cannot do spanning, though you will be able to mirror your display to a larger monitor.

If it has a VGA port in the back, then you should be able to hook it up to an external monitor. If it doesn't, then you can't hook it up to an external monitor. I recall seeing a VGA port on the back off an iMac G3, although I don't remember what version it was.
