Can you insert an external blu-ray drive into the macbook?

Is it possible to tear down the usb blu-ray drive and tried to connect with the SATA port in the macbook? I am a complete tech noob so i dont know if that would work at all. The reason i wouldnt want a usb blu-ray drive is because i dont want to bring an extra drive with me, portability is why i want a laptop in the first place, but i also want blu-ray on the go.

As far as I know OSX does not support blu-ray. You would have to set up windows in boot camp. And even if it did work you would have to find a blu-ray drive that fits into your laptop. You have to find a slim slot loading one that fits. I doubt that's even out right now. So short answer is no and no.
