Hi, I need to service my mac and I have some sensitive files that I can't transfer to an external atm.

Isn't there a way to lock a folder with a password so others cannot open the folder without the password you create?

Any help/advice appreciated. Thank you.

A folder where?

Anyway, I suggest creating a sparse disk image in Disk Utility and adding encryption to that, then putting whatever you need in there.
