I was wondering if there is anyway to look at the code for OS X? Would be cool to see how Apple makes their computer's work! Is there a program that you can look at the code in? Guessing its not in Xcode seeing as thats for making your own apps.. :apple:
 
Darwin, the Unix foundation for OSX is open source and you can look at it. Everything else, is proprietary and not available.

Just downloaded... does it only work on PowerPC based Macs? I'm running on 2009 Macbook Pro...

No, it will run fine on that computer, unless you're downloading a really old version somehow.
 
Much of the OS X and iOS is open-source. You can get the latest source code at https://www.opensource.apple.com
