Can you make a playlist on the iphone and move it onto itunes?

i want to reinstall my os but i want to create a playlist in itunes of all the music thats on my iphone so its easy to put back on. is this possible?

Yes as long u back the phone up before u restore the phone saving music

really? i thought backing up only saves app data, contacts ect, and no music.

when i restored my phone it placed all my music back on and i have only selected music onto it.
