Can you merge two itunes account into one

I had two iTunes accounts one for me and the other for my family, but now I am tired of managing both. They are both linked to the same credit card, but s there a way to merge what was purchased from the old one into the new one.

Sometimes apps that were purchased on the old account try to get updated and I have to use the old email and password.

Or is there a work around.

I don't think so! as each account is personal and can't be merged into one! because than you could merge every account you have the password of and have al that music in an illegal way!

No. It's part of the licensing, and the strict adherence to licensing is part of why the music industry accepts itunes as a viable alternative to physical album sales.
