iPod touch can you not sync certain playlist?

i made a playlist for all the songs that i want on my TV (so if i take my TV somewhere i can't stream then i have some songs on it) but that playlist is also syncing to my iPod Touch. is there any way that i could get this playlist not to sync with the iPod? i know under the music tab you have the option to sync selected playlist and i could select all the of the playlist except the TV one but if i did this then would it still sync the music that's not in any of the playlist (other songs that are under the "Music" section of iTunes)?

I'm not sure I follow you completely here, but if you want your ipod to have all songs in your library other than the ones that are on your AppleTV playlist, then make a Smart Playlist, and set it to:

Playlist is not AppleTV

Sync this playlist to your ipod.
