Can you pre order with new line of service

Can you pre order via apple directly by starting a new line of service?

I can't seem to get an answer on this anywhere and I want to add a line to family plan to get the new phone.

Of course you can. Apple gets a decision from AT&T based on your credit. If you're in the clear you can pre-order.

Yeah I already have two lines of service with AT&T so I'm assuming it wouldn't be a problem. I just never reordered before and didn't know if apple had that kind of access to set up lines etc.
