Can you purchase an iPhone at an Apple store using AT&T's Next plan?

Anybody have any experiences trying this? Just wondering if it's something you can only do at AT&T shops.

No, only online at ATT or at an ATT store. Cant say for certain at an Radio Shack or Best Buy type store.

What is the benefit of Next anyways? All I have read about it says it is a total rip off as you end up paying way too much for the phone.
