can you put windows 7 in boot camp to mac osx lion

As the others have said. Yes.

All machines that officially support Lion also support Windows 7. However if you upgraded to Lion rather than bought a machine with Lion preinstalled you may only be able to use a 32 bit version of Windows 7.
