Can you restore to a different iPhone?

Bought the wife a 4S last Saturday at an ATT store for $200. Saw Walmart was selling them for $190 and you also got a $50 gift card with it.

So needless to say we want to take it back. Can I restore to the new Walmart iPhone from the backup from the one we got from ATT?
