So I bought a macbook and put 500 dollers down on it, thinking I would be able to keep up with the payments.
Well I just recently got laid off and I don't have the money to pay the rest of it off.
I've had it for a little less than a month, its in perfect condition and works fine.

Can you return it, or does it have to be faulty to return it.

You have 14 days
Even then, there is a restocking fee

Oh alright thanks, I've had it for more than 14 days.
Oh well.

You can always try stores generally tend to not stick people to the 14 days here in the UK. I purchased my 2.53 unibody which had a screen fault on the day they came out. I rand up the store a week later and explained I was away for 4 weeks. The store manager said no problem and kept a stock 2.4 and stock 2.4MB so I could decide which I wanted went I got back. I got back month later and they swapped it all out for me.

You may be able to pass it off. If you say it was a Christmas gift. 14 days from the 25th.
I bought 2 ipod nanos, and each came with a extended gift receipt god for 14 days after Christmas.

Your lucky! Apple changed the rules and any Macbook bought since October is able to be returned until 9th Janurary.

This is because we have an event called Macworld now, and some people might have faults with their computers etc and want to upgrade when the new range of computers come out at Macworld.

Wow I was not aware of that! Are you sure?

I can vouch for that too. I saw it on the Apple website earlier in the week.

Yes! Both of you are right, I just checked the return policy:
