I have a macbook pro that has xp pro installed as well as osx and my pc mates have asked me if I can run xp on a mac could they not run osx on a pc? when they have used my mbp they love osx but do not want to buy a new machine (most of there laptops are only 6 or so months old) so is there a way of them doing so??

Microsoft licenses Windows to run on as many systems as possible, that's how they got their large market share. Apple, on the other hand, only allows their OS to be used on their own systems. In short, to run OS X, you need Apple hardware.

You can run a hacked version of OS X on some beige box PC's.

Don't expect it to work perfectly or be legal though.

We do not condone the use of unlicensed software.
