Is it possible to keep iPhone5 in mint condition? How it will hold resale value? Can you guys show pics of your 5's. I was looking at CL and it's almost impossible to find iPhone5 in mint condition.

Sure you can.

Simply use a screen protector + solid case and your good to go. Only reason an iPhone 5 wouldn't be in mint condition is because the person wanted to keep it naked or they used a flawed case.

Mint condition will definitely make the phone stand out on craigslist and help with resale value because as you said yourself: you don't find many of them on there.

I don't have a camera except what's on my 5. It's in pretty rough shape by most peoples standards on here.... chipped upper corner, chewed up from dropping on pavement by the headphone jack, wearing around the top edge from sliding in and out of my pocket.

Just wait though.... that "worn iPhone look" is going to become popular just like the "worn jeans" look.... maybe not in Bosnia.... but here in the USandA... just watch :D

I could show you pics, but since you are looking for mint condition those pics wouldn't help you.

So, I will simply say that my iPhone 5 has no scratches. A few nicks and very minor dings (because I'm a klutz) and general wear (one chamfered edge is silver) because I use the phone and it sits in a metal business card holder on edge all day at work.

But other than that, my phone is fine.

But if you really want to see, here's some from a month or so ago.

....I should add that I only use a screen protector. No case, no "skin" (anymore).

I should aslo add that I just don't care cause I have AC+ and can get a "new" one (refurb) for $50.

lol whats popular in the USA thats popular in Bosnia too. :D But I'm not sure that I can sell used iPhone5 in great shape like I used to with 4 and 4s.

Pics taken last week to show glass screen protector I just recently installed, but never posted. Back looks pretty minty, too, just the skin has turned a good shade of yellow/brown film. Not impossible, but keeping the chamfered edges immaculate is a bit of a task.

I have a 4S used about a year, with no screen protectors on either side and it's in mint cond like you pull it out of the box right now. Perfect. Zero scratches. But every black iPhone 5 I saw it's looking horrible.

Well $75 now.

If AppleCare+ was purchased prior to 9/9/13 on an iPhone 4S/5, you are locked into the $49 replacement. After 9/10/13, it is $79 per replacement, and they were talking about an iPhone 5, most likely purchased well before 9/9/13.

My iPhone 5 is almost a year old and in almost perfect condition. A few minor scratches on the Apple logo on the back and two really microscopic scratches on the side.
Used without a case and a screen protector (white model)

This is correct. And another reason I chose to hold on to my 5. I know it's not *that* much money but with the shape it's in, I know I'll need a swap at some point. And if I drop it, it'll cost less to replace versus if I upgrade to a 5s

Yeah, iPhone 5 seems to be more prone to "wear" than the 4/4s.

These pics don't do it enough justice but the phone is mint. No screen protector or case. Bought the week of launch last year.

Good luck with that. Buy a white for a head start. But again, good luck....

Wow... Just wow. Your phone is on great shape. It's one year old for Christ sake. I take great care of my phone. I keep it nice and clean everyday and I pray to God my phone looks like that in one year. Great Job!
