On long walks I pause my work out, to drink water, tie a shoe, etc. Then I forget to unpause it. It is frustrating a mile later when realize I am getting no credit for my effort. I know it may sound petty or stupid but it would be nice to snooze for x ant of time and be reminded to engage again. Any thoughts

below, or, not pause at all?

Pause running and cycling workouts automatically

  1. Open the Settings app

    on your Apple Watch.
  2. Tap Workout, then turn on Auto-Pause.
Your Apple Watch automatically pauses and resumes your outdoor running and cycling workouts—for example, if you stop to cross the street or get a drink of water. You can manually pause your workouts by pressing the side button and Digital Crown at the same time.

Nice feature, but I wonder why they limit it to running and cycling? Like the original poster, I'd want to use it with walking workouts too.
I agree. Somtines at the gym I get into a long gab sessions with someone and pause my workout. I usually resume without activating it. I need a snooze option instead of pause. So at some specified time it would remind me to activate or quit
