Can you stream hdr Video for the iPhone 12 to the ATV 4K?

I like to keep my atv in SDR mode with auto dynamic range on. I tried streaming some hdr videos via airplay to my new 2021 4K Apple TV from my iPhone 12 Pro shot in hdr and it’s not streaming in hdr. Is this possible? Thanks.

I have the same problem. I'm using a LG C9 OLED with Dolby Vision and when I stream via Airplay an HDR video from my iPhone 12 Pro Max, it does not trigger the Dolby Vision flag on the LG TV. I have tried all video settings on my new Apple TV 4k (2nd gen) and it does not work as advertised. Frame matching is on and auto dynamic range is and the streamed video looks like 4k SDR.

Is there anybody that may assist as I'm quite disappointed?
