So I have a macmini as my desktop computer and a windows seven toshiba laptop, Is there any way i can sync a folder between the two so that no matter what computer i am using i have the up to date file?

Thanks for your help appreciate it

thats brilliant thank you it works really well,

are you able to have two accounts on the same computer though?

Two ways that I have found to use multiple dropbox accounts on the same computer:

1. Set up one account to sync to the computer, and then use a different web browser for each additional account

Example:

personal docs account- installed client
work account- safari
file transfer account- firefox
personal media account- chrome

2. For using more than one account as an installed client, use Virtualbox, Parallels, or VMware Fusion to install other virtual machines, then install the clients in the virtual machines.

Example (free software only):

personal docs account- installed client, Mac or PC
work account- installed client, Ubuntu VM 1
file transfer account- installed client, Ubuntu VM 2
personal media account- installed client, Ubuntu VM 3

You can set up shared folders between accounts tools for shuffling files back and forth between accounts too, and since all files are copied to the cloud, you don't need to keep all VMs running. Just keep all your files in the shared folders and you have access to all your accounts/data from your installed client on your mac or PC.

Hope this helps :)
