Can you sync music libraries?

I have two computers which I like to keep perfectly synced. Copying documents and such is no problem. But the iTunes music library is what really gets me.

I know how to transfer my entire library, complete with ratings, to another computer (copy the iTunes folder, basically). But I don't want to get stuck doing this every sync.

Could I just drag the new songs in their respective consolidated folders from one computer to another, and then drag one of those music library files over?

I use the iTunes Share, I have all the mp3 on my G4 tower & none on the ibook or imac. I then use the imac / ibook as itunes client to listen to the music. Saves the hassle duplicating the files & keeping the remote librarys up to date. Also all the mp3s wouldn't fit onto the ibook anyway!

I use this too for my home music network.

But, iBooks are laptops, which get used away from home.
