Can you sync videos from 3GS straight to iTunes instead of iPhoto->iTunes?

When you take a video with a 3GS the only way I can see to get videos into iTunes/back onto the iPhone is to import into iPhoto then import into iTunes and then re-sync to the iPhone.

Seems a bit odd. Is there a way to sync videos straight to iTunes library?

It does seem strange. I import into iPhoto, then right click to show the file in Finder, then dump it into iTunes, then resync. I'd think iTunes should see the videos like it sees my photos, or some other more intuitive workflow.

Ya it's lame. Hopefully iPhoto will have an update that addresses it.
