Can you transfer MacBook Pro coverage

I'm selling my MacBook Pro and getting a new one, can I transfer my apple care to the new one and if so how?

No it won't. The only time it's transferable is if it's a warranty replacement through apple

No, the coverage is for one device and one device only. If buying directly from apple you'll be getting new coverage anyways (the usual 1 year if you're in the US). If you buying a used computer from a third party, you'll have to look into coverage from places like trade square and similar.

As stated by others, its tied to the serial number of the MBP - there's no way to call or change the information.
