Can you type a £ sign on a physical US keyboard in iOS?

Apparently, if you have a US keyboard on Mac OS, you can type a British pound sign (£) by pressing Option + 3.
Is the same possible to do on iOS when using a physical keyboard connected via Bluetooth? Thanks!

yep, that works with Apple's smart iPad keyboard

And don't need the keyboard, if want to go that route: long press the $ sign.
