Can You unjailbreak with update??

Currently, my iphone 4 is jailbroken, but i would like to get rid of it.. didnt like it...

when i put it into itunes, it says there is an update available.. can i just update it from the jailbroken state or do i have to restore it first??

OH noezzz. On a serious side note. Last time I restored my jailbroken iphone from a backup it remained jaillbroken. If one does the update does it remove all traces of the jalibreak

With the star jailbreak, I found you need to restore. Rebooting after a normal update caused my phone to get stuck at the apple logo

I just did it and it worked perfectly. easier then doing a restore.
