Can you update a White Macbook 13inch Oct 2009 to 8GB of RAM?

Hi

I am new to Macs and was considering purchasing a White Macbook 13inch October 2009 model. Does anyone know if you can upgrade the RAM on one of these to 8gb like you can on the Macbook Pro?
