In spite of all of my tricks (ln -s Shared, moving Logic & Studio One libraries to different drives, ~/ relocated to another drive, etc) I'm running out of room on my main Macintosh HD (1TB) on my Mac Pro. I have 4 4TB and 2 2TB NVMEs (all of them Western Digital) installed in PCI cards. I'd like to reinstall MacOS to one of the 2TB SSDs. I've installed Mac OS to an internal NVME before but I can't remember if I'm able to update system software after having done so. While I generally like Tahoe and it works fine for me, I don't want to be stuck on 26.0.1 forever.

Anyone know for sure that there is a software upgrade path with internal SSDs?
 
You may already know this, but in case you don't:

You could, alternately, upgrade the main memory on your 2023 MacPro. Here are your (very pricey) options (available on Apple.com):
