Hey,

I've just recently bought Lion from the App Store and installed it on my iMac. I also want to install it on my MBP, but my connection really sucks and it takes 10hours+ to download it. So I burnt the .dmg file using disk utility onto a DVD.

If I use this to install Lion, will I have an 'Upgrade' option or will I have to overwrite SL?

Thanks,
Louis

Not sure if this is a good way to go about it but I installed Lion, re-downloaded the entire application and copied to a USB stick. I used the stick to install the OS on another of my laptops and it seemed to work well.

So it just upgraded and all your files were still there?
Or did it install a Fresh copy of Lion?

It's an upgrade. Just go ahead boot of the disk and do a regular installation and once it asks you which drive to install Lion to, choose the drive with SL already installed. It's only a clean install if your format your hard drive using Disk Utility before hand.
