Can you use 1 Apple Watch with multiple iPhones?

I think the answer is no but I'll throw it out here anyway. Is there a way to have an Apple watch associated with 2 iphones? I have an iPhone 8 as my work phone but want to keep it also associated with my personal device - I don't like having to pair/unpair them when I want to use them separately.

They can only be paired with one phone at a time. Once you sync it to a new phone, it automatically unpairs from the old phone.
