I have the like June 2009 15 inch macbook pro and I lost my snow leopard restore disk and was wondering if I could use my sisters newest generation 2010 13 inch macbook pro's restore disk with my computer

Hmm not sure because the restore disk does look like more than just a copy of Snow Leopard. It probably has all the settings included in it, so the GPU upgrades and changes might make it non usable for you. Of course I am probably wrong since I'm new to OS X...

You just can't use different machine's OS Install DVD. You can't even use the '08 late Unibody MBP with the current new ones, vice versa.

Call the Apple Care number, tell them you lost the disks and ask for replacement restore DVDs, I believe they will charge a minimal fee to send them to you.
Also available on e-bay but its harder to find the correct versions.
