Can you use 2 formats in iMovie?

I have some footage in HD and some that is not. Can I use them both in the same project in iMovie? I put the HD on first, and it will not import the other tape now. Is there any way to do this?

Which iMovie version do you have? iLife08 you might be able to. Not sure.

You're right, it works in '08. I was trying to use 6, but this forced me to learn '08, and it's not too bad once you get used to it. Thank you!
