Can you use an AW series 3 with 2 iPhones?

I usually carry 2 iPhones. iPhone 6 for personal use and a 6+ for work with a Gen 0 watch. I’d like to carry 1 phone and a buy a series 3 watch with LTE and leave my other iphone at home. I know battery life may be an issue but I was wondering if there were any other issues.

Has anyone tried a series 3 with 2 iPhones. I’d like to know if I paired the watch and then switched the iphone SIM cards if I could get notifications from both numbers. I realize you cannot pair 2 separate iPhones to older watches but I was curious if it would work with 1 phone but switch the SIM cards since it has LTE.

I’d also like to know if you pair the watch and activate it on 1 iPhone then disconnect and try to pair it to a different iPhone do you get charged for $10 per line? I have T-Mobile and I will pair my gen 0 to my 6 and 6+ on different occasions so I was just wondering if I can do that without paying $10 on both lines.

If anyone has 2 iPhones and a series 3 with LTE please chime in with your experiences.

Thanks

Short answer is No.

Now for the ugly details. Your Apple Watch (Any Series) can pair to only 1 iPhone at a time. In order to switch between 2 iPhones requires that you un-pair from the first iPhone and then pair to the second iPhone. This takes more time then you would want to do on any type of a regular basis.

Switching iPhone nano-SIM cards is not going to work for you unless both of your iPhones happen to be on the same carrier billing account. If you were lucky enough to meet the above requirements, it still will not work. At this point, I will skip the details.

Finally a little good news for you but not much. Once you complete the Cellular setup on the watch, the plan can be reused if you un-pair your iPhone and then pair to another iPhone on the same carrier billing account and reuse the same watch LTE plan which is also on the same billing account.
