Can you use Front Row to open apps??

Is there a hack for front row that will allow you to open apps from the Front Row interface? Similar to how you open boxee from an ATV?

I use Plex for most of my media, and currently hitting menu on my apple remote brings up plex. I'd love to open up front row from my remote and then have an option to open boxee or plex (or just use front row.)
