Can you use plug in instruments in Garageband?

Can you use virtual instruments with Garageband like various Native Instruments products, Garritan, First Call Horns etc etc? Thanks.

If they have it available as an Audio Unit plugin, yes.

I know for sure NI has AU format plugins for Mac. not sure about Garritan but I think they do.
